How to Upload Files and Optimizing the Upload File features

This guide will help you on how to upload a file and tweak its settings to maximize the upload feature. The amplifi.io supports different file type like MP4, MOV, PNG, JPEG, GIF, XLS, PSD, and many more. The system also provides you with settings like Automatic Filename-based Folder Tagging, Batch Folder Tagging, Add Prefix and suffix, and File Permissions.

Note that this feature is only available for a certain type of roles, feel free to visit the Types/Roles knowledge base to know more about each User Types And their Permissions

1. On the home page click the upload file button.

2. On the Upload File form, Here we have the Automation and others settings to help you maximize the upload features

3. You can activate the Automatic Filename-based Folder Tagging by checking the checkbox, this feature will automatically associate the uploaded files to available category folders or collection folders. For example, if your uploaded filename is Portable_Table_Glass.jpg, the system will automatically assign it to “Portable” Collection folder, “Table” Collection folder and, “Glass” Collection folder. The “_” character will act as Folder tags separator. 4. Don’t want to use the Automatic Filename-based Folder Tagging? Not a problem, you can manually add the folder tags in this feature. All the uploaded files will automatically have the folder tags you enter. Feel free to add as many folder tags as you like. If you missed adding some folder tags you can visit the How To Add Label Tags And Folder Tags On Multiple Files knowledge base to guide you in the process.

5. You can add a Prefix or Suffix name according to your filename needs, note that the prefix/suffix will be added to all uploaded files.

6. Add a Caption on all files that will be uploaded.

7. Add label tags on all files that will be uploaded. Label Tags is a classifying phrase that gives information about the File, you can use the label tags as a search keyword to further enhance the user’s search results.

8. Set the date when to publish the uploaded files. Note that unpublished files are not visible to certain users, you can check the Types/Roles knowledge base to know more.

9. Check or uncheck the regions, The uploaded files will only be available for the selected regions.

10. Check or uncheck the user roles, the uploaded files will only be available for the selected user roles.

11. Click the Next button.

12. Drag and Drop the files on upload box area.

13. Successfully uploading a file will display a “All Files successfully uploaded” message.

Modify Default Uploader Settings
The default settings can be modified by navigating to by clicking Admin > System > System Settings. Click the uploader tab and adjust the uploader options to be set as your default settings. When finished, click save or save & close. Those settings will now be used as the default options when a new upload is started.
